Rasmussen (10/8, likely voters, 9/23 in parens):
Kay Hagan (D): 49 (48)
Elizabeth Dole (R-inc): 44 (45)
(MoE: ±4.5%)
For the first time in Rasmussen’s polling, Dole’s favorable/unfavorable rating has bottomed out to a 1:1 ratio (49-49, down from 52-44 in September), while Hagan’s rating has also fallen from 51-39 to 50-45. That’s the power of the NRSC, Freedom’s Crotch and other GOP-friendly orgs at work, but for all their many attack ads accusing Hagan of being a tax-addicted tax-hiker from Taxachusetts, they haven’t seemed to douse North Carolina’s desire for change.
I simply do not see how Dole can win this. Not only is she losing in the polls and is an incumbent, but turnout in this election will clearly be extremely underestimated both within the AA community and the 18-34 demographic where both will vote decisively Democratic and put Hagan over the top.
Is it election day yet? Im just ready to vote and move on from this disasterous administration.
Purdue +3 and McCain +2

early voting starts in NC. I can’t wait.
Dole has her first ad of the year out where she actually talks. It’s a minute, and its positive. I’m not sure when and where it premiered, so I don’t know if this poll took into account that. I’ve also heard through the grapevine that Dole’s folks have an “October surprise” on Hagan, but I don’t know what it is or even if it will be nasty enough to be effective. The state GOP has sent out a mailer or two tying Hagan to the “Godless Americans PAC,” but that came out earlier this week, but I don’t know the population it reached (my unaffiliated sister got it home, the only non-D in our house, dangit).
what could they possibly say about her that they havent already? should we be prepared that we will likely lose this race? i’m getting nervous with all this Rep outside spending — Freedom’s Watch, Chamber of Commerce, etc
Dole’s ad is great btw — she looks great, talks into the camera, is at her house, etc
the dscc needs to hit back with that neighbors ad again — maybe show her house with no one there.
